Research on application of wigs in costume art

 

Wigs have a long history in the application of costume art. In different times, cheap lace front wigs have different functions. With the continuous development of society, lace front wigs gradually become people's pursuit of fashion trend and beauty, and their symbolic role of status gradually disappeared. With the development of modern society, lace front wigs have been more and more accepted by people with the enhancement of people's overall dress awareness and the pursuit of individual beauty. In modern costume design, the application of lace front wigs is more prominent, especially in the creative costume design, many famous designers with a skilled technique will be a perfect combination of fashion art together. In addition, with the development of technology and new things, wigs became more and more widely used. Based on the application of lace front wigs in costume art and reliable historical data, this thesis analyzes the application of wigs in the history of clothing in China and the west. Through the analysis of modern famous designers' works and living examples, this paper discusses the matching rules of wig and costume art, so as to achieve the perfect unification of wig and costume art
